I don't do top ten lists, mostly because I just don't want to put the agonizing work into what it takes to create them and really think about the choices. Instead, what I like to do is present a list of the films I saw for the first time this year, in the order that I enjoyed them. Which means that you're going to see films that might be several decades old in this list - that's just the way it is.
