The story of a youth growing up in poverty and having to do unsavory things to try and make a better life for themselves is nothing new. In fact it's almost a genre unto itself. The cast is solid. Sophia Bush is beautiful and I expect we'll see more and more of her. The story feels like it was cut and paste from a lot of other films like it and never really has a solid through-line. It's hard to attach yourself to the main character and therefore hard to care. An OK film that I wouldn't recommend nor tell someone to avoid. I'm ambivalent to it, which may be the worst.
